TMC MP and Bengali film actress Nusrat Jahan visited the Enforcement Directorate (ED) office. On Tuesday morning, around 10 o'clock, she arrived at the CGO complex in Salt Lake. Nusrat Jahan has been questioned by the ED in connection with a case of fraud worth crores of rupees in the name of giving flat.
Allegations are that money was taken from 500 people in the name of giving a 2-room flat, but even after a considerable period, the flats were not provided.
The Trinamool MP has denied all allegations in this cheating case. The actress has said that she will cooperate in the investigation. It is alleged that Nusrat had purchased a Palm Avenue flat with the money from the scam.
The complaint was first filed at the Garhiahat police station, but the police did not take up the case. It was then taken to Alipore Court, and the case was registered. Based on this complaint, Kolkata Police and ED agents have begun their investigation. The central investigative agency had previously summoned the TMC MP and actress and had sought her appearance.
